The show was aimed at kids and each episode had a moral to the story, usually stressing something that would keep kids out of trouble. There were live actions portions of the show with the real Kid ' Play but the voices of the cartoon characters were performed by other actors.
The show wasn't very good. There's no surprise it lasted only one season. It was silly and the animation was simple but it seemed to be standard fare for Saturday morning type cartoons of that time. Here's the intro:
